Product Overview

A magnetic pot magnet is a simple yet powerful assembly: a permanent magnet encased in a deep-drawn steel cup. This "pot" configuration short-circuits the magnetic field on one side, forcing all useful flux onto the working face. As a result, a 40mm magnetic pot magnet can hold over 80 kg on a 10mm steel plate – far more than a bare magnet of the same volume. Ideal for B2B buyers requiring quick-release mounting, jig building, or end-of-arm tooling. Our factory produces magnetic pot magnets using either sintered ferrite (economical, rust-resistant) or neodymium (ultra-high pull). Both types are fully customizable: countersunk holes, studs, rubber coatings, and various plating options (Zn, Ni, epoxy). With full in-house production from magnetic powder to final assembly, we guarantee ±10% pull force consistency and 15-day lead time for bulk orders.

Key Advantages of Our Magnetic Pot Magnets

5.jpg

  • Closed magnetic circuit design – retains flux, reduces stray field interference

  • Steel pot protects fragile magnets from chipping, splitting, or corrosion

  • Multiple mounting styles: countersunk hole (M3–M10), external thread, or plain with adhesive backing

  • Wide operating temperature range: -40°C to +250°C (ferrite) or up to 150°C (high-temp NdFeB)

  • Optional rubber overmolding (TPE / silicone) for non-slip and scratch-free contact

Applications & Case Examples

  • Automotive jigs & welding fixtures – quick change of body panels using magnetic pot magnets with rubber face.
  • Warehouse & logistics – magnetic sweepers, conveyor belt separators, and pallet strapping holders.
  • Exhibition & signage – non‑drill mounting of banner stands, LED screens, and trade show displays.
  • Home & office – magnetic hooks, cable organizers, and tool holders (rubber-coated versions).

One European automation client replaced 120 vacuum cups with magnetic pot magnets on their pick-and-place robot. Result: 22% faster cycle time and zero vacuum line maintenance. We can help you design a similar upgrade.

Why Source From Our Factory

  • 30 years as a magnetic pot magnet specialist – not a trader.
  • Fully integrated: magnetic powder → sintering → steel cup stamping → epoxy filling → magnetization → testing.
  • All raw materials traceable (rare earth certificates upon request).
  • Short lead time: 10-18 days for 10,000pcs of standard ferrite pot magnets.
  • Third-party pull force testing available (SGS or BV).

Packaging & Shipping

Each magnetic pot magnet is magnetized in the cup (single‑sided flux), then stacked with plastic dividers to prevent mutual attraction. Standard export carton (20–50 kg per box) lined with foam. Optional: VCI anti-rust paper for high humidity destinations. We ship via sea (FOB Ningbo/Shanghai), air, or DDP to EU/US warehouses. For ferrite pot magnets, no dangerous goods declaration required.

After-Sales Commitment

2-year warranty against coating failure or magnetic flux loss exceeding 20% of rated pull. Free replacement for any defective batch (tested by third party). Technical support available within 24 hours (China time). We also provide free sample testing for orders above 5000 units – just pay shipping.

FAQ

Q: Can a magnetic pot magnet be used on stainless steel?

A: Only on ferritic or martensitic stainless (magnetic grades). For austenitic (304/316), the holding force drops by 80–90% – we recommend using a magnet with a rubber skirt or a different fastening method.

Q: What is the maximum diameter you produce?

A: Ferrite pot magnets up to 120mm; neodymium pot magnets up to 100mm. Larger sizes available as custom assemblies (minimum order 1000pcs).

Q: Do you offer rubber-coated magnetic pot magnets for outdoor use?

A: Yes – we mold TPV or silicone rubber over the pot. IP67 rating, UV-resistant, available in black/grey/blue.

Production Flow (Full Traceability)

  1. Incoming inspection of magnetic raw material (ferrite or NdFeB blocks)
  2. Cutting/grinding to shape + cup stamping (low-carbon steel)
  3. Surface plating of cup (Zn or Ni) and magnet (if neodymium)
  4. Epoxy adhesive dispensing into cup cavity
  5. Insert magnet, cure under press for 2 hours (closed flux orientation)
  6. Pull force test on digital gauge (20% AQL for batches >2000pcs)
  7. Optional rubber overmolding / top sealing
  8. Demagnetization (if required) and vacuum packing with desiccant
